This innovative European neobank is a fully licensed banking institution built to deliver seamless, mobile-first financial services with zero fees, 24/7 live human support, and both virtual and physical bank cards.

As part of its commitment to youth financial inclusion, the client participated in a government youth financial aid program, issuing digital prepaid cards to eligible young adults directly through the client's app for use in transport, tourism, and cultural services.

The company faced the challenge of standing out in a crowded digital-first banking market while effectively reaching younger and underbanked users. Delivering the program was a critical opportunity, but it required a fast time-to-market and tight alignment with the vision of mobile-first, inclusive banking.

The client did not have enough available engineers to deliver all required backend features on time. Rather than slowing delivery or reducing scope, the client brought us in to rapidly augment the team.

We onboarded additional engineers who took ownership of well-defined backend components and supporting features, allowing the internal team to focus on the platform's most critical parts.

Our responsibility was to:

  • monitor and migrate new beneficiary files from the government FTP server,

  • automatically retrieve them,

  • trigger backend functions to create eligible users in the client's system.





Backend development


Our responsibility was to design and deliver a reliable backend process for handling program beneficiaries.

We built and maintained a mechanism that:

  • continuously monitored the government FTP server,

  • detected newly published beneficiary files,

  • securely retrieved them,

  • processed the data automatically.


Once a new file became available, our solution triggered backend functions to validate the data and create eligible users directly in the client's system, without manual intervention.


We ensured quality and speed by integrating seamlessly into existing workflows and maintaining strong communication across teams.

This flexible setup helped rebalance workloads, remove delivery bottlenecks, and keep the project on track, without compromising stability or security.



Reusable integration mechanism


Shortly after the program launch, the client identified a new need for a fast integration with a telecom partner.

The solution connected the client's system to a data feed from the telecom partner, which shared data on eligible customers, allowing new users who were also telecom customers to automatically receive a bonus.

We delivered the integration within one month, and the solution proved successful enough that the client continues to use it as a reusable mechanism for other marketing campaigns.
