The challenge
The client’s goal was to build the most comprehensive and up-to-date source of information on bank accounts and deposits in Poland, including rankings of the best banking products as well as detailed analysis of each one of them.
Additionally, it was to provide a wealth of information on other topics related to personal finances, including savings strategies and disruptive fintech technologies.
Partnership goal To build content-heavy financial web portals that excel in terms of technical SEO, UX, and performance.
Before
Blue Coin had an idea of providing readily available financial information to regular people online. In order to stand a chance, they needed lots of traffic from the search engine.
After
Their SEO-optimized web portals get thousands of views from Google and other search engines on a daily basis.
The Software House formed a full scrum team that led the development process for Blue Coin projects.

Blue Coin’s growth strategy required a variety of specialists over the period of 5 years.
The composition of the team changed over time and included PHP developers (with Symfony, usually 2 at a time), frontend developers (with React), QA specialists, product designers and project managers.
The team size and composition changed during the project depending on the client’s needs at any given moment. The flexibility it allowed was particularly praised by the client.

Our partnership
The work we did made it possible for Blue Coin to develop two SEO-ready financial web portals and keep up with increasing traffic and demands that resulted from it. It resulted in scalable and easy-to-manage content-heavy portals that grow with their user base.
Technology choice
We used React for the web portals to provide great user experience and performance. In order to make it more SEO-friendly, we used techniques such as lazy loading, text spoiler and various DOM manipulation solutions. The backend used PHP with Symfony as well as the Symfony-based CMS Bolt. What’s more, we used Kubernetes and the Twig template engine.
What Blue Coin achieved
During these past 5 years, we have managed to establish a fruitful long-term relationship. This period has been marked by a rapid growth of the client’s web products. The monthly number of users continues to break new records.
The next step
As a result of the successful project, the cooperation continues. We’re currently working on a whole new concept of a financial web portal. We can expect more information on that to be released in the near future!
